Description

authentic and original
TEACHER'S LICENSE
for the
STATE of INDIANA
- COUNTY of WARRICK.
This is a license t
hat is dated
May 26th 1906
, and it looks like the license holder is a
F. C. Heim
,
though it only shows the signature, twice, and it is hard to read the name clearly, but it looks like the name is HEIM. Then it also has the signature of the County Superintendent,
A. J. Hopkins
, but again, this name is also only in signature so not crystal clear.
Condition
: Paper license is in excellent condition. It has folds, even folds in it that are so ingrained into it, it was probably from about the time when the license was issued. Other than the folds it is in excellent condition as it was obviously very well kept someplace that was quite protected. (see picture for good idea of condition).
Age
: A true antique, dated
1906
, well over a century old.
The pictures show both sides of this document. There is no mention of any Indiana towns associated with this license, only Warrick County, State of Indiana. In researching this, we see that Boonville is the County seat. This piece would look exceptional mounted in an antique picture frame, especially in the office of a Teacher, Principal, or Superintendent, in Warrick County Indiana
