  • Condition: Quite possibly the only one left in existence, this is an original 1918 Statement of Condition of the First State Bank of Follett, Texas. It was printed less than two years after Follett became a town as a result of the historic 1917 relocation of the residents, buildings, and homes of the town of Ivanhoe, Oklahoma. The move became necessary when a newly completed line of the Santa Fe Railway was constructed 7 miles to its south. Follett was born a bustling new community and Ivanhoe became a ghost town.An ink smudge, obvious on one side of the card, is almost certainly a mishap of the original printing process (see photos). The card measures 3" x 5" and is enclosed in a brand new 4" x 6" magnetic acrylic photo frame.

    Description

    Quite possibly the only one left in existence, this is an
    original 1918 Official Statement of Condition of the First State Bank of Follett, Texas
    .  It was printed less than two years after Follett came into existence as a result of the historic 1917 relocation of the residents, buildings, and homes of the town of Ivanhoe, Oklahoma.  The move had became necessary for the inhabitants of Ivanhoe when a newly completed line of the Santa Fe Railway was constructed 7 miles to its south.  Follett immediately became a bustling new town and Ivanhoe soon ceased to exist.
