Made in Staffordshire, England
The patterns of the "'Fair Winds" dinnerware were taken from original copper engravings depicting historical scenes of Chinese export to America in 1830. The brown transferware, made in Staffordshire, England, displayed life on the open seas with big sailing ships, sailors, crashing waves and other scenes that bring to mind far away distant lands & adventures facing perilous dangers. The designs were discontinued in the 1970s.
