    Description

One piece of Ceramic Platen liner 3/16" x 1" x 2 1/2".  This is the size needed for 1" x 30" belt grinders such as Grizzly and Harbor Freight. If you need any other length or width contact us. We will be glad to cut to your specifications.
IMPORTANT: CAREFULLY MEASURE. INCLUDE THE SAFETY SHELF IN YOUR MEASUREMENTS.
EXAMPLE: If your metal platen is 10” long and your safety shelf is 3/4”, then your ceramic glass platen should be no longer than 9 1/4”.  We can cut any size you need. Just let us know with the Contact Seller.
A small steel shelf 1/2" x 1" x 5/32" is included in this package. The shelf is drilled and tapped and includes 1/4 - 20 Cap Screws. Instructions with pictures are also included.
This is Neo-Ceram. A ceramic fireplace glass.
Neo-Ceram is modern material for our age. It is designed for thermal shock resistance and stability against high temperatures. Withstands continuous temperatures to 1292 degrees F. Nearly three times that of tempered glass.
Provides a smoother, longer lasting platen.
Mount this to your belt sander platen using J B Weld or 2 pieces of double sided high strength tape. There are several excellent You Tube videos (glass platen) for mounting instructions.
    HINT
: If you use good, strong, double sided carpet tape, the platen can be carefully removed with acetone. Soak from the top and carefully pry with a putty knife until tape releases. This is especially useful if one side of platen is chipped. It can be reversed.
A small steel shelf installed to support your glass platen is a must. These instructions are also included in the You Tube videos.
    RETURN POLICY
: If received damaged, email photo within 2 days for replacement.  If you break it while installing, you own all the pieces.
Not installing glass properly can lead to glass failure. And again you own all the pieces.
